looking for more lift...
i have a 04 f250 with a 4inch lift with blocks in the back not springs. i want to add a couple more inches of lift. i heard i could do a 3inch shackle lift or a leveling kit. just wondering if any of you guys would know what i could do and how much money i would need to do this stuff. some help would be great...

you could do a drop shackle kit, Sky Manufacturing makes a 2.5 and i believe a 4" kit. great product i run their drop shackle hanger on my truck. i would do that and maybe get a set of lift springs for the rear.

yep you can. alls you will need to do is support your truck on the frame and loosen the bolts on the leaf springs and lower the axle down, remove old shackle and hangers and put on new ones.
here is the 2" kit Ford Superduty 99-04 Leveling Kit - Sky's Off-road Design also here is a rear shackle flip kit they make that will lift the rear NEW Ford Super Duty Rear Shackle Flip! - Sky's Off-road Design here is their front 4.5" shackle and hanger kit Ford Superduty 4.5 Inch Front Spring Hanger Kit - Sky's Off-road Design theoretically you could get the reverse shackle kit for the rear and the 4.5" drop for the front and youll have another 4.5" of lift. you would also have to accomodate for shocks and at 8" total lift i believe driveshafts and brake lines etc. would need to be lengthened. |

i was looking more for the 2.5 more of lift cause i dont really wanna have to do all that stuff that you have to when you get 8inches or more.. do they make that same lift for the back but in a 2.5inch version? |

it could very well be a driveway job with some cinderblocks and a couple of floor jacks!
im not sure about the rear, but it wouldnt be hard to measure your blocks in the rear and get ones made that are 2.5" higher. |

ok got ya well good.. i have 4inch blocks in the back are u saying do the shackle lift in the front and put 6inch blocks in the rear?
i have heard putting that big of blocks in the rear is unsafe is this true? or are they just talking crap like most people do lol |

yeah you should be fine with that setup, just dont get cheap when getting blocks. and also try to get 1 piece blocks. when you stack blocks thats when issues arise.

you know where i can get 6inch blocks that are good???
so if i did that i would have 6.5 inches of lift in the front and 6 inches in the back. that wouldnt make the nose stick up would it? |

im not sure where the best place to get them to be honest. it might make the nose stick up barely a little bit but not anything that is overly noticeable. depends on how good your front springs are and so on so forth.
