What lift do I have?
I'm looking to replace the trac bar bushings on this truck before I put new wheels and tires on it, but I can't find anywhere on the kit which brand it is! Can anyone tell me just from the pic? Thanks in advanced..

Are they covers or lights, I looked for cover and couldn't find any and to change out the lights was kinda expensive, SO didn't mean to hi-jack your thread.

Thanks for the website, I looked everywhere for tintd covers to no ava. So i ended up goin the cheap way with a can of spray.
Ok, track bar bushing, Maybe the process of elimanation. I'd say thats a 6" lift??? See whom has 6" Like someone said Skyjacker or Rancho. But that doesn't look like rancho. Maybe so. What type of shocks & stabalizers r those? To me if its Rancho It would have "RANCHO" somewhere on the lift components. Or "SKYJACKER" If not than its gotta be someone else. I can tell you Pro-COmp is blue, so is Fab-Tech. I think Rough Country is yellow But can be sure. See whom makes lifts for 2008 fords. But it seems like the Dealer would have that. Has the trackbar been changed out or the bracket? If not a factory bushing should do it. Some "lift" makers use there own stuff. I know Fab-tech uses there own Leaf spring bushings. found that out the hard way. Which is crap because if they go out of business (again) I'm stuck rigging it. |

If you're replacing trac bar bushings, I'd assume its the stock trac bar on the truck. You'd just get them from Ford. Most companies with the exception of the higher end ones use a drop trac bar bracket, and not a new trac bar.
To find out what lift you have, maybe check the coils? I know mine say the brand on them. Or try the drop trac bar bracket in the front, or some other brackets up front. To judge off of the shock boot colors isn't very accurate when you can buy different boots in every color imaginable. The shocks don't look like the standard white bodies though, so it may be a higher end lift than what you think. Can you get a pic from the side where I could see the Radius arm brackets? |
