Upper track arm bracket
I have an e99 and im collecting parts to do my level and i was going to get a new upper track arm bracket instead of drilling mine out, and was wondering if a 2003 6.0l upper track arm bracket and bolts are the same as a 7.3l's?

Is drilling the hole out better than cutting and sleeving the actual bar? First time I am hearing of drilling the hole out

See on the Early 1999 7.3L trucks, the track arm has smaller bolts and heads that attach to the axle and the upper track arm bracket. so in order for us early bird guys to put on a proper leveling kit, we have to drill out the bottom bracket on the axle and either drill out the upper bracket or replace the upper track arm bracket, with a bracket from a truck thats slightly newer than mine.
I heard any upper track arm bracket form a 2000-2003 truck will work, but my question is if the upper track arm bracket off a 2003 6.0L is the same as one off a 7.3L I will still need an adjustable track arm, or sleeve the one I have to compensate for the lift. |
