Stripped Top Bolt in steering gearbox
Yeah, I stripped the top bolt in my steering gearbox, where it attaches to the frame. And bent the aft one.
So my question is; would drilling out the rest of the threading and installing a bolt and a nut be a good fix for this? I hate to spend the cash on a new box just cause I stripped a bolt hole.
I would have just installed a new bolt, but the gear box treads are the ones that stripped.
Guys, you might want to take 30 seconds and take a 18mm wrench to check your 3 gearbox bolts. Could save you some $$.
