Guys with 10" lifts ??? about shocks
so im looking for shocks to get for my truck currently so I can put the rest of my lift on but i cant find anywhere that says 10" lift for F350. My question is where are yall getting the shocks from? I want Bilstiens but I know they dont make them that big for the rear. My plan is to get them for the front but idk what for the rear.
My measurements right now with 8.5" lift at ride hieght are Front = 26.5" Rear = 30" How much 'Down travel" is acceptable? It may occasionally see dirt but nothing serious. Bilstien 14" 5125 max out @34.9" which would only be 3" of down travel which I dont think is enough.... Help guys. |

I had the Bilsteins 5100's 14" travel shocks with 16" of lift. I would recommend the Icon shocks over the Bilsteins since they are specifically valved for a super duty.

Thanks for the responses guys. Well I called TruckToyz an Top Gun Customz an both are saying they 14" bilstiens aren't going to be enough down travel. Ill check Icon

You can get correctly valved Bilsteins..to 17" travel.. we can get you whats needed..also unless your going off road a std 14" travel Bilstein would work fine as you would have 5" of droop..you just need to get the facts..

5" Droop? The measurements of the truck now is what I put in the first post. 30" in the rear Im going up another 2" in all four corners so that would bring it to 32" The Bilstein 14" are good to 34.9" which would only give me 3" droop. If you can get me 14" for the front an 16" for the rear correctly valved pm me a price please.

Ok so the Icon extend 1" longer then the bilsteins which would give me 4" of droop. Anyone know where I can find the 16" 5100's? I've googled with no luck.

I have the custom 14.3 in travel 5125's in the rear...They offer them in different valving. I have duals in the rear they are super stiff! Its all show the best ride is a properly valved single shock. I even have the 5125's tripled in the front. Again they have many different valve option with each travel talk to the off-road tech at Bilstein he knows his ****. As for the travel issue you can always easily modify your mounts. And if you are super worried run the 14.3 and put on a nice set of limiting straps plus it would look pretty bad-***. I have an 8 in lift though...Just my thoughts
