Looking to get a long travel

I have a 2004 Ford f250 4x4 4door, and I want a long travel suspension that will add 4 to 5 inches above stock. What all do I need to do this? What shocks and what suspension?

Well, if you are staying with leaf springs, the first place to start is with some high quality units. Deaver can make some nice long travel ones for you, or talk to Fernando over at Atlas. Fernando can help as well. Then you need good shocks, bumps, proper track bar and steering geometry and then some sway bar links or a sway bar system. Those are just for starters.

you want long travel or lift kit? big difference, true long travel is very expensive.... What are you using it for? To get long travel out of these trucks (12" plus travel at the shock) it takes a lot of work. Long travel means your suspension droops out a long way, you probably are just looking for a lift kit? you will get shocks a few inches longer then stock, with heavy duty suspension, your springs/shocks are still only going to cycle a few inches.

No, I want a long travel, I just need my truck to sit at least 4 in. above stock so I will be able to fit 35x12.5 tires

Then best option is sell your axles, wheels etc and put in '05 up SD axles with a 4" 4 link kit..best ride quality and will clear 35"..We can help you with this..have everything needed.
