max pitman arm?

Whats the highest you can go and still use the stock pitman arm? ive read 4.5" but i feel like thats false..

Anyone know?

Less than 4". At 4" or greater you should use a drop pitman arm, and any time a drop pitman arm is used, a drop tracbar bracket is required.
