Steering gear

I just replaced the steering gear on my sons 96 f250 powerstroke and took it to be aligned and the shop told me the clockwork was off 180 degrees. I didnt move anything and the steering is 2 turns from center from stop to stop. If I were off 180 wouldnt one direction be 1.5 turns?

Seems to me if its off 180 degrees it'd be 2.5 turns to one side and 1.5 to the other. If its 2 to both and aligned I don't see an issue!

Sounds to me like maybe someone is trying to add on a little extra to the bill
