Shock Travel

Truck is an 03 f350 SRW with Icon 4" lift springs up front and blocks in the rear for a 4" lift.

Messing around today I noticed that my front and rear shocks only have about 4" of travel before they bottom out. They are bilstein 5100 I got from topguncustomz a while ago and the ride is rough. I dont really mind but she is starting to complain alot.

Would getting shocks that are more "centered" help out or am I ok with these, thanks!

mine are the same way. i run a 4.5 icon hanger kit in front and a block in the rear. mine is rough as well and limited travel by the "looks" of them. they should be fine though. even the stock ones were like that at stock height.

Won't help being centered but its better in case you ever tow heavy and hit a big bump as you could blow out a shock. This is why we don't use Bilsteins 'lift" #5100's as it a one size fits a couple different lifts. We size Bilsteins for each lift to get the shock as close to mid travel as possible and making sure they work throught the range of travel.
