Best riding 4in lift leaf springs
Ok so I've got some procomp 6" springs on the truck and I'm looking to lower it a few inches and gain a smoother ride. I've got all the other parts needed but I want to find what 4" spring is gonna ride the best. But also without breaking the bank. I've heard good things about icons but at close to $700 that's out of my price range. But then again you get what you pay for. It's a truck and I don't expect it to ride like a caddy but pretty much anything would be better than it is now riding like a wagon.
Also if you've got springs shoot me a pm maybe we can trade or something. |

i know you said icons are out of your price range but they ride great. love mine. check out deaver springs, may be cheaper

Would you say the ride is close to stock or better? I forgot about deaver. I'll check those out.

Deavers are the same price as icons and essentially the same spring. They both use 12leaf designs.
Any on have experience with rubicon express springs? Rancho? Fabtech? Skyjacker? Superlift? I know rough country and pro comp are supposed to be the worst riding springs. Just looking to improve it a bit and I'm sure just dropping from a 6" leaf down to a 4" will improve the ride quality. |

Best riding 4" would be either 4.5" hanger kit and V codes or 2" hanger kit and X code springs.

I'm looking to keep a 6in total lift on the truck so I can continue to run the 37s. Right now I already have a 2" hanger shackle plus the 6"springs. So just looking to swap springs.

Misunderstood...get Icons..or again for the best 6" ride quality 4.5" hangers..and X codes.
Who's shocks..valving? Try removing one shock..may help the ride quality..NICE looking truck! |

Thanks Cary wouldn't be where I'm at now without some of your help on the trans and chip.
I'm running some basic bilstien 5150 in the back and some custom shock the previous owner had gotten made for the truck designed to run duals. But I may go with some bilstien reservoir shocks when I can afford to. |

id say the icons ride better than stock. again pricey but the best ride. also like ct performance said, better valved shocks will also help

The springs on the truck are over 7yrs old they're getting to be worn out. So I'll start with new springs then see how I like the ride and maybe shocks after that.
