Viair Mount Location?
Put on my Firestone airbags this week. Got a Viair system to go with it that I haven't installed yet. Planning on mounting the tank in the spare tire area.
Where should I mount the compressor? Says it shouldn't get wet or dirty and can't get hot...sounds like they want it to go in the cab. Any suggestions on mounting locations? Pics? I don't want to put it in my toolbox or bed. Thanks in advance. |

I have mine mounted on the passenger side frame rail under the cab.

Yeah. I was trying to avoid adding on more parts than necessary. I'll come up with something and post up some pics...I was doing a little research earlier and saw that some other people put it under the hood. Viair says not to place it in areas that can get hot but the feedback from others made it sound like it was a viable option. Also makes it close to the battery so there's not a lot of amperage lost through the lines if it was mounted near the back of the truck.
