I've been using Motorcraft 15W-40. I get it @ Walmart - Comes in 5qt jugs so no hassling with 1qt bottles. I use a Motorcraft Filter (FL-1995 for a 7.3L).

Some folks recommend going to 5W-40 oil in the winter for easier starts. How cold does it get in Ohio?

Are you talking Motor Oil or oil for your front and rear end? If you servicing your front end the manual calls for 75/90W and the rear calls for 75/140W Synthetic Rear Axle Lubricant I have been using Red Line oil and have had great luck with their products
