new shocks with a leveling kit?

I plan to put a leveling kit under my 2000 f250, but it may be a few months before I get to it, unfortunately I need to put some shocks on this truck like yesterday..... I plan on running bilstien 5100s but dont want to put shocks on that im going to have to replace in 2-3 months. I've noticed some leveling kits offer shocks as an option and I've noticed that some say they are not required whats some of you guys thoughts?

Can I just buy the shocks to replace my stock ones and run em with the leveling kit? I'm gona be driving to kansas in about 4-5 weeks and will need to do somthing before then.....

If you only want to level to 2.5" then get stock length and when your ready a mini spring pack. Still will need a adj track bar. We have all including Bilsteins..PM if I can help.
