150 for used steering box need input

I need a new steering box and I found a used one off of an 03 with 57000 miles on it for 150. is that a good deal

Hell yeah considering finding a remanufactured one is near impossible. The stock boxes on these trucks are absolute crap.

Are you certain yours is shot? There is an adjustment on the top side of the box to take up some of the slop. There is only so much you can adjust them before you need a new one. Just trying to save you a couple bucks if you havent tried this first. $150 isnt bad for one as long as it is in good shape....

Advance auto parts has rebuilt boxes for 179.99 and 20% off online if you buy before Oct 3rd ($144.) free shipping. I put one in my truck last week and the steering is like new. I wouldn't even think about buying a used box.

Exactly what I was going to say, its not worth buying a used box when you can get a rebuilt one for a little more and a warranty.
