Piecing together a lift
Ok, looking for some people with some good experience and knowledge. I currently have a 6" Skyjacker lift on the front of my truck. I have a buddy with an early '99 that I am buying his 8" lift from. I know the track bar bolts are smaller, the pitman arm splines are different and the swaybar links. My biggest (pretty much only) concern is the trackbar setup. It actually looks like his track bar drop bracket has the larger holes so it SHOULD work, but it looks like the early 99 track bar is an inch shorter than the late 99 style? Can anyone confirm or deny this? Also, his pitman arm is only a 4" drop and mine is currently a 6" drop. I am trying to figure out what I need to do to get all my suspension and steering geometry right. I'm thinking about just using his drop bracket for the track bar and then buying an adjustable track bar to fix any potential length issues and calling it a day. The angle might be off a bit, but I'm thinking the bump steer would be manageable. What do you all think?
