front end drift
2003 f250 6L with 80K miles; just aligned, all steering components appear tight and functional. Symptom: as i drive, I can move the steering while side to side 20 degrees and get no change in direction. When I go beyond that 20 degrees, then the truck lurches toward that direction and I need to quickly compenstate and move the steering wheel the other direction. 2 mechnaics have said it is just normal steering "slop" - but the truck did not drive like this before. I've not hit anything, pulled an especially big load, nor can think of any specific event that might have caused this. Any ideas?
