Leaf spring bushings! need advice!

i have an 04 f350 with a 10" lift, i need to replace the bushings on all four corners. ive heard i need a press, but ive also heard i dont, my plan is to drop one end of the leafs so they hang off the other end, hammer out the old pushings and get the new ones in with sum lube and muscle, then reverse the technique to the other end. anyone done this? how hard is it? planning to do it this week end so any advice is a huge help! thanks

I have done it 3 times. I used a ball joint tool(large c clamp) But i can inpact the thing down. You will need the ball joint adapters too. That way the old rubber has a place to go into. The leafs are all easy. The front bracket bushing is also easy. The rear shackle one, you will need a press. Theres a metal sleeve on the outer edge pressed in, my tool had nothing topush against and nothing toholdon the other side. The others have rubber to the leaf. They come out rather easy. A hammer wont pound them out. You will also need a small cum-a-long to pull the leafs around when reinstalling them. I had to attach to the leaf and the frame here and there.
