Post leveling kit problems
Bought and installed the 3" Newton leveling kit w/track bar spacers. Truck drives horribly now. Bump steers a little but is wandering really bad.
Any thoughts ?

you need castor cams and an alignment.

Thanks for the reply wired1.
![]() Where do you buy these ? Are they found at any auto parts store or is this a specialty shop item ? Would an alignment shop carry these ? |

Any decent alignment shop should have them. Make sure to let the installer know you need 3-1/2 to 4 degrees of positive caster to make it steer correctly again.

I was just going to order the Newton 3" lift. Wonder if anyone else has had some issues with this lift?

Junk....get a quality lift kit that is enginered not ebay crap with spacers...
OP..sell it and get a kit thats complete.. |

Update: In my hast and frustration I found I had left the track bar loose on one end.
Steers as good as before the lift now.Getting the track bar back on on was a PITA though and even with the spacers I can tell my axle shifted about 1" to 1-1/2" meaning an adjustable track bar is still needed to center it. When money permits I will probably upgrade to a "proper" lift. |

It's on a 04?
Loose trac bar makes sense. If it was an 05+, then I would have said caster as well
