What should I paint leaf springs with?

Getting everything together for my spring conversion. Picked up a set of 08 leaf springs for it. I want to clean them good and paint them before I put them on. Any suggestions on what I should use to paint them? Regular rattle can? I want it to last so I want to use whatever is best.

thx, no to hijack the thread, but do they bolt to the same place as the original brackets?
Are you doing a lot of modding to get them to bolt in I have a set of leafs from an 08.
How much were the brackets?
Does this trevor make them for people or was this a special thing he did for you?

I think you can use your factory front hangers you just need to relocate them farther forward.

There's more to it than that. You have to make provisions for the emergency brake cable too.
