Steering problem.

This is my first problem on my '06 350 4x4 DSL so I would appreciate some advice.

The steering has become almost uncontrollable and I actually had to return home this morning as it was unsafe to drive.

When I make a sharp left or right hand turn the steering fights me when I try to straithen out. even after completing the turn the truck still wants to pull to the side i just turned on.

Can anyone suggest where to start looking?

I would lay under the truck and look at the drag link, pitman arm, etc, and have someone turn the wheel back and forth.

I have an 04 F250 that had a similiar problem, it ended being my steering box. My truck had about 50k on it at the time and the box had noticeable play in it. My truck is lifted with 35 inch tires which I am told makes them wear faster. Bought a Red Head steering box out of Oregon or Washington, can't quite remember. It was a significant improvement over the stock box. Don't know if this is you're problem but it is a good place to start.
