Icon shocks vs. Bilstein shocks
Are the Icons really worth the extra money compared to the Bilstein 5100's?

To some yes..

Icons are relabeled edelbrocks from my understanding.

My ICONs have bilstein stamped on them

Do they have a manufacturer date or when did you purchase the shocks?

No build date on them as far as I can tell. I got them direct from ICON about a week ago, my guess is they are built buy Bilstein to ICONs specs.

Icon has both Bilstein and Edelbrocks build some of their shocks..along with their own shocks that they are making in house.

I recently purchased some ICON shocks from Truck Toyz and absolutely love them. They ride way better than my old Rancho's did on and off road. ICON told me that they have Bilstein make the shock body's for some of their shocks and then they install their own valving. Either way I dont think you can go wrong.

Icon uses Bilstein and Edelbrock shocks, because sometimes one or the other cannot keep up with the demand. |
