its a block integrated with a traction bar... i have a set on my excursion.. i have the blocks installed but im waiting to install the bars in front of it since im dropping down the ex so the wholes are in teh correct space... the block part can be made to any size....

yes it replaces your block or blocks if you have stacked blocks.....
