96 F-250 SAS using 8-lug dana 44?

Hello everyone! I just signed up for this a few minutes ago so I am new.
I was wondering if anyone had done a SAS using an axle from a Hi boy. Also wondering if 73-79 f-250's all had a Hi pinion 44 w/ disc brakes or just 78 & 79. I can't afford a 60. My main concern was wether or not the 44 used a panhard bar. I feel a panhard very necassary with those dinky front skackles.

i think it can be done, i have heard others talk about it. i dont have any first hand knowledge of it though, sorry. i would think you would want the panhard/track bar, since the d60 comes with one.
