better ride? All spring or spring+blocks?

I was looking into doing a larger lift in my truck. For the rear should I do JUST 8" rear springs with their high arc, or should I do 5" rear springs with a 3" block? I don't care for the block look from the rear. Opinions? btw I was also looking at doing a Icon or Superlift, there is a deal on craigs list for a NEW superlift 8" front and Icon 5" rears, cheap shocks, sway bar links and pitman arm for a grand..

00 Black F350 4" Pro Comp lift GT38r, Volant Intake, 5" no muffler, EBPV deleted, do dad mod, 33" Terra Grapplers, K3LA Nathan Air Chime off a 5 gallon 150 PSI system. Looking to do a 8" lift because I need tires, nice excuse huh?

I have 8" springs on mine. Rides stiff, but good. I have no issues with axle wrap (wheel hop) in sand like I did when I had blocks on it so it saved me money on traction bars too. I like not having the blocks, but I also am willing to sacrifice ride for performance.

The Icon 5" rears ride very nice.
Icon 8" rears are stiffer, so they will handle weight better (if you tow or haul) and resist axle wrap more.
