Need a new front end
I figured out why my front right wheel is really messed up and leaning in. Right on the left hand side of the pumpkin i got a cab about 3/4 of and inch and about 10 inches in length. pretty bad. The only thing holding the front wheel still in place is the spring, and ubolts and some of the pumpkin thats it. I have been driving it like this since i got it about 2 months. I have hit over 100 miles per hour in this also, lucky to be alive lol... My question is i got a 97 f250 and its the independent front axle dana 50. I have a chance to get a 89 f350 front axle dana 60 but it has king pins. or should i just get another dana 50 and go with that for now to get my truck back on the road? And go with a dana 60 later on down the road? Also how can i tell a way to see what my gears are? on the highway about 65 70 mph i am roughly at 2 grand or 22 rpms.

you can check thw tag on the drivers door frame , it should give you a axle code someplace, you can do a search for tat code or post it on here someone will know what it means for sure. also if you can get a dana 60 king pin( there the best ones over the ball joint style so i'v been told) id put that on, its a simple install most guys have no trouble, and the two trucks bein relativly close in years and style will make it easier. ive heard tell of guys doing the complete install and disassembly in 4-8 hours. just my opinion bud !!!! hope all works out !!

So i should buy the king pin front end? The guy wants 450 bucks for it. SO the 89 and 97 are close in years you think?

yah, they should be. my Dana 60 i have is off a 1990 F-350 and im putting it under my truck..... 450 dont sound too bad to me for a price.... your prob gonna spend that for an ol dana 50. the 60's sell for 1200 here around me
the king pin ones are more reliable then the ball joint style as well |

So when i purchase this the guy said if i keep my stock f250 springs over the f350 springs it will raise my truck about 2-3 inches is this correct?

So when i grab this front end what should i get? the front end obvi, the track bar, track bar bracket, steering box he said he would give me also, what else?>

take all the steering setup, im pretty sure there is zlight differences , and yes i think you will get a bit of lift maybe an inch or two if you use the 250 springs because they are a Positive arch and the dana 60 ones are a negative arch . try to get the track bar mount that is on the frame of the 350 also
