Front end is shot 97 f250 old style
My 97 f250's front end is gone. The truck has 260,000 on it. A friend suggested putting a dana 60 front end under it said I wouldn't have front end issues any more. I really like the idea as I'd like to make the beast beastier. Been looking for them in my state of GA as well as AL, TN, and SC. Any pointers?

Good luck finding a 60 for under 800 bucks. It is a good idea if you can do it though. Easy too, will bolt right up under there in place of the scissor setup, using the same leaf springs on oyur truck

Okay more to the question. had to go for a few minutes. I have also been told by putting a 60 under it it will raise my front end about 2 inches allowing me to run 35s. The only draw back I have heard is it stiffens the ride quite a bit. Are these true or false?

It might raise it an inch, but if its not where you want it to be at, you can add a block to clear 35s. And yes it will stiffen the ride

Thanks. Much appreciated.
