ICON 2.5 Shocks

Hey guys,

I'm looking into getting some new shocks for the truck and was wondering if anyone is running the ICON 2.5" Piggyback Manifold shocks on their truck. I have a 4" lift on my truck and heard from ICON that these are the best riding shock they have for the price. Here is a photo of them. I want the best ride possible and cant decide between ICON and Bilstein. Thanks for your help.

6-7710 - 2.5" Piggyback Manifold Reservoir 4.5" Lift Front Shock

Those are nice but for $399/each ...your getting close to the price range you could do coilovers for.

The Icon 2.5" diameter shocks are a very good shock that will ride very well. A properly setup 2.5" diameter shock makes a nice improvement even over a properly setup 2.0" diameter shock.

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to go with the ICON's, just dont know which ones yet. DC, I will be giving you a call shortly to order some up. Are the 2.5 already vavled properly when you get them or do you have to do anything with them.

Icon sets the Super Duty ones up specifically for the SDs so the valving is good to go when you get them

I do everything myself, only cause I dont trust anyone else LOL

I havent found a good local shop. Texas Offroad in Nederland thinks Superlift is all there is so they are automatically off my list. I've heard good things about Lumberton Offroad but the two times I've been there, one went great and the other time they treated me like I was just an idiot that didnt know what I was talking about. I knew exactly what I wanted and needed, but because it wasnt in their "book" they gave me the cold shoulder.

So all my stuff gets done in my driveway. The 4.5" kit ICON kit is a pretty easy install. Here are the directions if you want to look through them:

DCSpecial,

Do they only make those 2.5 series shocks for the 4.5" kits? Nothing new out for the 7" kit except for coilovers?
