Early 99 Lift vs. 99-04 Lift

Anyone know the difference in an early 99 and a 99-04 Lift kit . If I were to buy a used 99-04 lift for my early 99 what could I use and what won't work . I'm told it's just the "box kit" that is different but I don't know what that is referring to . Thanks in advance .

Actually the difference is in the pitman arm spline/hole size, the early 99 had a smaller steering shaft than late 99 and newer,,,,ask me how I know,,,did it on a customers truck and then had to make a service call 50 miles up the road to change the pitman arm (it was cheaper than me having to send a wrecker).

Pitman arm and trac bar brackets are different on the Early 99s as mentioned. Also 99s use square front u-bolts vs. rounded on the 00-04 (but you should use new u-bolts either way on used kits).
