*shiver* Take those blocks out of there and get a leaf spring lift. You can get a lift kit done the right way (all new arched leaf springs, shocks, drop-pitman arm, u-bolts) for ~$1,500. You don't want your axle to separate from the truck because you hit a submerged stump going across the mud hole or to shred your drive train from all the wheel hop you have to be getting, do you? I know, dramatic ... but seriously, lift it the right way.

IF you have any sort of lift block in there get rid of it on the front end.....blocks are illegal and UNSAFE in the front.....you can do a hanger and shackle and lift springs( my planned route-6" lift springs through summit for 306 dollars shipped, and 5" hanger shackles through precision metal fab for 300 )....so you're looking at 606 dollars for 11 inches of lift and it's done the right way with a soft ride from ONLY a 6" spring. and if you decide later you want to go up you've already got a 5" hanger so just add whatever size spring you need........me personally once I get out of Langley, Ill be throwing some 18" lift springs on top of my hangers and using some 46" Mickey Thompson Baja claws.......so it's a great starter! all in all STAY AWAY FROM BLOCKS IN THE FRONT OF A TRUCK AND DO IT THE RIGHT WAY.

Pro Comp makes a 6.5 to 8.5 shackle/hanger kit,the (part number is 52484B) comes with all the longer components that would have to be lenghtened for a 8 in kit. except you will need an adjustable track bar. I got a Icon, works great

My buddy has been running 6" blocks in the front of his 86' f350 for the last 20yrs and has had no problems. He has done every thing that you could imagin to abuse the truck. It will work as long as you set it up right.
