8" icon rear springs w/F250 block..carrier bearing shim amount
I will be lifting my truck this weekend... 9.5" Rize 4-link in the front. The rear i have Icon 8" rear springs with the stock F250 block. What is the drop on the carrier bearing to make sure I don't have any vibration??? I have an 05 Crewcab short bed...
I know someone has done it and I just need a starting point. I will start with the 1/4 shim for every inch of lift. So I am looking at starting out with 2" drop. If someone with this same setup could go out take a quick measurement, it would be appreciated. |

Every truck is different I tried from 1.5"-3.25" and all have had the shutter. My best I found on my truck is 3" and that with stock springs 2" add-a-leafs, 6" block and 1.75 stock block on that 9.75" total plus traction bars and still have a very slight shudder at take off very small only if I punch it. I got the bds drop bracket for there 8" kit and its a 3" drop good luck

Thanks... I am going to make my own adjustable drop bracket. Kinda like the OUO.. Going to get some steel tomorrow. That way I can adjust the drop as well as the angle of the carrier bearing so I can keep the driveline straight as an arrow.
