Change from 2wd to 4wd

Can it be done and what does it take? I know all the normal things front axle trans and trans case. I have a 02 diesel dually

yes it can be done. just did one here in the last couple of weeks. you need the complete front axle assembly from the axle to the pitman arm to the shock mounts EVERYTHING!!!!. you also need the 4x4 trans, transfer case, rear drive shafts, carrier bearing, trans cross member. if it is a manual transfer case then you need to remove the plate on the tunnel. if its electric im not sure if they all have the wireing for it (you would have to find that out). its not bad to do but just takes ALOT of time
