Leaf measurements eye to eye 05 and 08

Well, I just bought a new set of rear lift springs with a fabtech sticker marked FTS42000. He told me they were for an 05-07. He works at a dealership and lifted a new 2007 and apparently the owner of the truck didn't want new leafs in the back, just blocks (load capacity) so he said they have been sitting in the shop for over a year. I called him and he is willing to take them back but swears they are for an 05-07. I looked them up afterwards and the only thing I can find are fabtech instructions listing them for an 08 for the 8 inch lift and 10 inch lift
What I need to know are the measurements of the spring from eye to eye on a non compressed rear leaf spring from an 05 and also an 08.
I wanna put these on my 05 but want to make sure.

All rear springs from 95-07 will bolt right in.

Well, I called Fabtech today and they are infact 8" lift springs (with factory block) for an 08+ Superduty. Damn my luck. He said they retailed for $650 so I guess I saved a lil bit of money buying them. Too bad I can't afford an 08 superduty to put them on... I am not going to bother with trying to convert my truck to fit them so i posted them in the for sale section.

08 model leaf springs are 8" longer. On the 08 model the axle is in the exact center of the leafspring, on the 99-07 the axle is not centered on the leaf spring.

Thx for the info. I thought just the fronts were longer on 08 and the axle in relation to rear of the spring was the same. Basically if i were to relocate the front mounts it should work. But too much work for me. The guy i got these from said he will buy them back when he returns in 2 weeks, but i wanna lift my truck within two weeks. He has an 08 and didn't realize these were for an 08, so he wants to put them on his truck now.
Anyways, they are for sale/trade in the classified section...

Here is a guy on EBAY that has a conversion kit to convert over to the 08 leaf spring. I was interested in a set of the mounts but he wont sell just the hangers, even though they make them. His price is high and he's had the same set for sale for months.

Thanks. I read your thread on the conversion and the shady responses from that ebay guy. I just emailed him to see if he will let the cat out of the bag..
