Front Shackle Flip Whats the real deal?

Ok I know has been covered I looked it up. But I cant seem to find a definite answer anywhere. A front flip is good for 2.5" inches cool. Do I have buy a kit or can I use my own? How will truly effect my ride? Will it jack with my pinion angle very bad? I just need some straight forward answers please? Thanks in advance.

There is nothing to flip in the front of your 2000 SD.
The hanger is already in the front and the shackle is hanging down in the rear.

You can go to an aftermarket hanger and shackle for more lift, like this:
BDS 2.5 Inch Hanger System - 2000-2004 F250/350 4wd - 2000-2004 F250/F350 SRW 4wd - Truck Toyz Store
