Fabtech lift ride height

guys I need some help....I thought I had a 8" fabtech on my truck, now im not sure. I called fabtech and they said my front coils are the 6" height, what I dont understand is it seems to look like and feel like more then 6" of lift. My buddies 6" rize is much lower then mine. Anyone have any measurements from there 6" on 37s or 8" on 37s to compare to? Speciffically (sp) looking at 05-07 super duties

I have pics but have since change the tires to 35s so i cant measure. Let me know if you want the pics.
