Lift
I know everyone loves the Icon and believe me I would have got that kit if I could afford it. On my 07 CC I went with Rancho 4 inch kit and it is great. My local 4x4 shop sells alot of these kits on F250's and even installs this kit on brand new trucks for the dealerships. The ride quality is now better than it was stock. The only thing you will need is steering stabilizers. I went a little over the top and added the ICON 1" TEI spacer up front and an add a leaf in the rear. Im sitting right about 5" and running 325/60R/20. I would go with this kit before Skyjacker, Tuff Country, Ruff Country, or any of the cheaper brands. You get what you pay for.

Rifle 74. Do you think the Rancho is a better deal than the Skyjacker kit? I have been told that some of the people with the Rancho kit have had alignment trouble. I had so much trouble with my last truck and keeping it aligned. I just want a kit that I can have for 5-6 years without any hastle that rides like a cloud rather than a lame horse. I looked into the Rancho kit and people told me NO.... go with ICON or RCD if I had the money. Then I was told that the 4" skyjacker kit with Bilstien shocks would do just as good so I am in a holding spot now. I know that Icon and Skyjacker have American made steel springs. Not sure about Rancho or Icon. I have the money I just want to spend it right. I have the leveling kit on their now but I just want to go a little higher the right way.

This is what I have gathered so far. If I want the best go with ICON (is anything needed other than what comes in the kit to make everything ride great and smooth-no extensions or replacement parts needed?). if I want the next best go with RCD with Bilstein shocks (from what I have been told the shocks are not American made, not sure if this is true or not). If I want to go a little cheaper go with Skyjacker and replace the springs with Bilstein (looked at the kit and they had brake line replacement, heavy duty sway bar and pitman arm ext. Do any of the other kits need this?). If I want to go a little cheaper than that and not use brackets but replace the radius arms entirely go with Rancho and get Bilstein shocks (Have been told that this kit cause a lot of alignment issues and is not very good quality material, not sure if this is true). I'm not a hot rod, I don't hit dunes, I don't venture down trails, I may drive through a cow pasture or a horse pasture ever now and again but I am not a hard core offroader or a mild offroader at that. I am mainly a street person. Just want something to look good while going down the street. I appreciate everyone's help and I know that I don't know much but I appreciate everything and appreciate everyone's advice. Anymore advice is welcome with thanks.

Bilstein has a plant here in the states and also in Europe....so I'm not sure where those exact shocks are built.
Icon, RCD and CST.....can't really go wrong with any of them
