noise when turning

Ok, I am grasping for straws here...I have an 04 F250 and when I cut the wheels sharp I am hearing a clunking/ popping noise in the front end. Everything seems tight under there. Any ideas what to look at?

When my was popping it turned out to be a loose bolt on the ball joint.

checked all that and it appeared to be tight. Only does it when turning sharp on pavement and seems like I may hear it if I hit a good bump.

This almost sounds like the noise our 08 Taurus makes and were not sure what it is either.

check for excess stiffness in the front end. to do that jack up the front end and manually lock the front hubs. then turn the wheel forward as if you are driving and then backward as if reversing. if there is tightness while doing that you may need to get the front wheel bearings repacked.

thanks for the help mrubel. I will give that a try. I put new shocks on mine about 4,000mi ago so the bushings should be ok.

clunking noise

my 04 was doing what sounds like the exact same thing. Turned out to be worn spring eye bushings on the front shackles, when i turned and hit a bump the bushing was worn away so the spring would slide inside the shackle making the sound
