'94 f250 solid axle conversion

It looks like a panhard rod was scabbed in when ifs with leaf springs was swapped out for a solid axle on sons f250. Leaf springs remain installed.
Is the panhard rod required to locate the front axle suspended from leaf springs?
The panhard rod appears to be binding and preventing the suspension to compress, limiting compression travel when dropping off our driveway curb.
(.5"~.75" max travel observed)
I would like to try testing with pan rod removed but am wondering if springs alone are good enough to laterally locate the front axle?

Your in-puts are welcomed and thaks in advance

You must run a track bar, it could be that the install was done using the F250 springs..won't move much at all using them.

solid axle conversion

I can see MUST use track /panhard rod to locate using COIL spring set up where there is NO lateral control.
There is no track bar on the rear LEAF spring set up so I don't understand the logic of its requirement on a solid front axle with leaf springs.

The only possible reason I can see is for the WOW visual factor!

I live by the motto: It Must Be Useful, Functional and Simple before I would
consider installing anything on My vehicle, but thats just my opinion.

Again reasons for or against welcomed.

you have to use a track bar, because the spring hangers will move side to side on the front.
try driving that thing without the track bar,you will understand then
