Credit where credit is due....
This afternoon, I received an email from Paypal with $250 in my account. I MUST give PO1 Avery credit, even if it was a little late in coming. I hope he is just as forthcoming with the other money. It is now already gone, doctor and credit card taken care of.... Howard, I wish this could have been done in a better way and I hope we get this done with no more delay than possible. Having lived on a military shoestring for 20+ years, I know how tough it can be. BUt I can honestly say I never did it this way, and I felt bad when I could not be straight and admitted it as soon as it came up. Easier on everyone, especially me. Thanks for getting this started and I hope this goes well. Tell the wife I hope she's well and kiss the baby, sometimes they're all you got..... BTW, there is some AWESOME boar hunting going on at Vandenberg AFB in Central coastal, CA. Hope to have some video, we're ging with bows as soon as the foot heals, or gets "lightened"!!! |

Credit due, then nothing....
Well, since then, I have recieved nothing from Petty Officer Avery. I am still out BOTH bumper, still undergoing treatment for my bad toe, and with reconstruction coming for my right foot, I am still $1000 out from Mr. Avery. Muddy Dog, Ratherbhunting, HAvery, whatever he is going by, he know I am still out here as I get mail from him at my USAF email site. I have told him I will have to take him to small claims court if he doesn't get this done and have been told he is going through an inspection right now, but will be getting his new bumpers from someone in Phoenix....DUnesRunner maybe at Iron BUll? I don't know.... Anyone have some advice on where to go from here? I don't want to screw up his navy career, and I understand he is trying to get his business going, but I took $1200 out of my retirement savings to get his lift, which became too hard for him to remove since he was waiting for his new suspension, so I mad a deal for his bumpoers, which are still, like my money, at his house in the Everett area of Washington state.... |

Can someone explain what's going on here??? I thought this thread was for a guy selling his lift and possibly tires? What's going on with the diabetic guy that got ripped off? Where did that come from? The deals aren't related are they? Is he just trying to use an active thread to find this other, unrelated guy (not a bad idea or something, just wondering)? So lost..

Ok, you have to admit that was a LITTLE confusing. There was never mention of any bumpers being up for sell so that's what threw me off...
That bothers me when stuff like this happens. Your best judgment tells you to not make deals in this kind of setting because it's all based on trust and if someone wants to make off with your money or use a bunk payment, you're kind of screwed. You feel like it's a little different around here because it's such a tight knit community then something like this happens. Not sir, not good at all. |
