Questions about pre pump filter
I recently did the in take mods that deleted the mixing valve and got rid of the quick connects on both the fuel tank and fuel pump.
My question is that is the pre pump filter gonna cause too much of a strain on the factory pump? If so do they make some kind of "pusher pump" to help the factory unit? Thanks for your help. |

Dennis doesn't come on to the ORG very often, so you may have better luck sending him an email at sales@itpdiesel.com.

Thanks Shawn.
choupique108...I've not had anyone "need" an additional pump. The thing you have to remember is that the filter/water sep I provide is designed to be on the SUCTION side of the pump...so if you install a pusher pump between the tank and filter you'll make it much less effective. Shawn is right, with the number of sites I sponsor and taking care of regular day to day business stuff, I don't get on any of the forums nearly as much as I used to. If you have further questions, call or email me! |

I have his kit, and have replaced the filter for one meant to be pressurized and put a carter lift pump (5-7 psi) in front of it and wired it in with the high pressure fuel pump under the drivers door... To me it seems to make a difference when towing and in my Extreme tune, other than that not much
