Michael Phelps

This kid is amazing to watch swim! I just saw him win his SEVENTH gold medal in one Olympics with a win margin of 1/100 of a second!!

I have heard about him, started catching the clips of his first win, but since the team relay when the USA came from behind in the last 50 meters, I have been hooked watching to see if he'll make all 8 golds.

So far, so good. 7 Golds, 6 world records, and 1 olympic record.

He has the world records in all the individual races except for the 100M fly that they just raced. That is the one he has the olympic record for and another American (Crocker) has the world record.

GO USA!!!!!

It is definitely cool.

Last night they did a minute or two blip on Phelps and how his body is like the "perfectly built" swimmer. They talked about the length of his arms vs. his shorter legs, overall height, his double joint elbows and ankles. He is probably almost a freak of nature, but the kid found his niche in the sports world for sure.

I DO sink, I have negative buoyancy!

That's one of the points they made. Size 14 feet with double joint ankles. His feet work as if he had flippers on.

Freakin' coach of the guy that won silver filed a protest. But after a review of the films the committee decided not to allow it and made a final decision and Phelps kept his 7th gold.

YEAH! Phelps is a man child! Guy is unbeleivable to watch! I actually thought he lost that last race, until the results were thrown out in the lanes. 1/100th of a second is the smallest margin possible! OMG he is so freakin fast in that water. Maybe we should use him instead of submarines in the war huh? hehee
