It's fun but gets so dang expensive! My family doesn't have a ton of money so I had to learn how to train my own horses. I learned form one of the best around southern Idaho and I am proud to say I have been offered over 50,000 for my team roping horse and was offered 25,000 for my calf roping horse at his first rodeo. I wouldn't take anything under 50,000 for him now.

That's why I have not roped for so long I do not have a rich daddy to buy horses for me. I had to train all of my horses growing up as well. But I might get to go to Texas this summer and stay with my brother'N' law, Charley Crawford and do some roping down there. Which will be a kick in the azz to say the least.
