The SUGAR BOWL

Anybody watch the Sugar Bowl 2nite? IT WAS GREAT! JUST WHAT I WAS HOPING HAPPEN, DID HAPPEN!

Hawaii 12-0 VS. Georgia 10-2

I have been sick to death of all the sports analists saying how great Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennen is, how he has like 52 touchdowns this year, and blah, blah, blah, and how Hawaii should have been ranked higher being the only undefeated team in Division 1A. The WAC (Western Athletic Conference)
is the WEAKEST Div. 1A conference, and Hawaii only played 2 teams this season who had winning records.

Low and behold, they go up against The University of Georgia Bulldogs who are in the SEC (South Eastern Conference) which is the toughest conference in Div. 1A. And with their 10-2 record.........

THEY KICKED HAWAII'S AZZ 41-10
Sacked Brennen 8 times, and knocked him out of the game.
Welcome to the main land Hawaii!
Welcome to REAL FOOTBALL!
Welcome to the S.E.C.!
Now Take all your long haired Tongans and go home!!!:fawkdance:

HA-HA! I just couldn't believe that a team that got sacked 5 times by 1-11 University of Idaho, and played New Mexico State, Utah, Nevada, and San Jose State which all had loosing records, thought they could play with ANY team from the S.E.C. when they play teams like Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, etc..

They got a first class azz kicking! I read the paper this morning where the Hawaii quarterback said "We had never seen anything like this before" and "they were too fast, and too strong, the noise was deafining"
NO SHEEAT! The SEC and the southern part of the U.S. take football very seriously!
I don't watch any pro ball, just college, so all the bowl games are my superbowl!

On the dublin dyno day, nope it's still duck season!

Yeah they did, it was obvious that the SEC recruits the cream of the crop and the WAC gets the rest...
We just had a wide reciever from the local J.C. (Sierra College) get and accept an offer from the University of Florida. In the article he said how he came home from school and Pete Carrol (USC) was in his living room talking to his mom, Jeff Tedford (Cal), Charlie Weiss(Notre Dame) both made appearances at his house to try and get him. These are the kind of sought after players the SEC is getting. It just really made me laugh the way Hawaii thought since they were 12-0 they should be playing next Mon. for the national title. Um...what? Notre Dame who finished 3-9 would STOMP Hawaii.
Man I love the Vols, I love the Auburn Tigers, now I think I love UGA!

Being on the west coast there are a few Hawaii (WAC) fans, and I had been saying since the bowl match ups came out the UGA was going to KILL Hawaii.
DAMN if I was only a betting man

The problem was the Hawaii thought they could play with UGA because Boise State handed it to Oaklahoma last year in the Fiesta bowl. BUT Oaklahoma is from the Big 12, and University of Georgia is from the SEC.......
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE
