Is anyone else displeased with NASCAR this year?

Is it just me or has it been crippling blow after blow to the sport I once loved. I will admit i was annoyed a little bit at the start of the season with the Daytona 500 finish. I was throughly pissed at nascars choice at the finish. Then there was a race finish a little later in the season that was pretty similar to Daytonas finish and ill be darned if nascar didnt go the other way this time on their decision.

Then there was nascar burning tony stewart for speaking his mind on his OWN radio show. Dont even get me started here.

The cautions for invisible debris.

And lets not forget nascar trying to squash richard childress for having the cingular car. Give me a break, letting Richard Childress switch to AT&T was not going to put NEXTEL out of business by any means. I think that whole deal was a matter of whos wee wee was bigger.

Then there was the finish this weekend with the bif. I can understand the call nascar made on the field being frozen and technically biffle maintained a safe speed though he was out of gas, and IMO i think he is the biggest lier in the world. How can he sit there and say he was not out of gas. You could see him on the last lap swerving back and forth. Let me guess, he was doing this to clean his tires for that final CAUTION lap? Yeah right. No celebration, no burnout, no doughnuts, and pushing the car to victory lane? I may not be the smartest man in the world, but i can see a pile of BS.

This is why i mainly watch the Craftsman Truck Series and world of outlaw late models and sprintcars on dirt. Those 3 divisions added together have less drama in 1 season than nascar has in one weekend. Sorry for ranting and raving but i wanted to see if i was alone in my feelings or if any others see what im seeing.

I have to agree. I stop watching when NBC picks up, so I didn't see last weeks race. I think Fox should just buy NASCAR

It's all becoming a load of BS. I like watching NHRA.

Those days are gone, just like the Alabama Gang.

I did too, but that was a long time ago for me, '91 maybe. When Davey Allison died, i tried to watch it but it wasn't the same. A couple years ago, I started again, mainly because of Crown Royal. Now look at what it has become.

it was more recent for me... Dale

JR, Kevin Harvick, and Mikey got me back into it shortly thereafter... and then with the recent splits (past couple of years) it just dissolved my intrests.

Plus I work on Sundays now...

I agree with everything accept Biffel's win -- LMAO @ JJ and Boyer saying they won... Those guys know the rules and are idiots! He may of run out -- but he could have kept rolling across the finish line, but he was probably trying to save some fuel to do the celebration... who cares - he won as soon as he crossed the finish line.

NOW -- the COT is a POS -- I didn't know NASCAR was the IROC series now??? WTF?!?! And what is up with all the dang fines and penalties?!? Edwards for a measurement that didnt HELP the car and actually HINDERED it and was likely caused by something during the race that was out of the crew's control? Hell, how do they measure the wrecked cars? I'm sure those don't meet the measurement specs!!! And Stewart thing is crazy -- they are just trying to silence one of their more firey critics... its ridiculous.

I agree, what happened to rubbing is racing??? WTF about aggressive driving?!?! ITs freaking RACING!!! 1ST to the line WINS! geesh... NASCAR has lost a lot of its luster with me... but likely its not gonna change anytime soon...

and what about the Nationwide Series now(Busch series is no more after this year)?!?!?

Nascar

Toyota is a sour subject to me. I have a long story about why I dont like toyota that involves me being escorted off a dealership etc... But for now i would have a little respect for toyota if they win a race this year, but them winning a race next year will mean absolutely NOTHING! Why you may ask? Because how many MILLIONS and MILLIONS of dollars do you think Gibbs got? Toyota knew they wouldnt win a race so they stooped as low as to buying themselves a win basically.

How funny would it be if they still didnt win next year? That would be great.
