I know this isn't the right place for this and this is a diesel forum, but there have to be a few muscle car fanatics out there and I'm not quite sure where else to put this thead.
Now, to the topic at hand. I have a '70 Chevelle that I bought when I was 14 and restored for my first car. When I restored it, I wanted to build a 383 for it but funds didn't allow. Now, a few years down the road I have the money to build the engine I want and do some other odds and ends to it.
In researching how much it would cost to bulid a 383 with an Eagle rotating assembly, Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, valvetrain, and induction, I discovered I could buy a crate engine for less than it would cost to build one, although I am more than capable of building one.
The engine I'm looking at is a Patroit Performance 383 Stroker that puts out 450 hp and around 450 torque. Here is a link to the engine:

Has anyone ever had any experiences with these engines, good or bad? The largest thing I'm concerned about is buying an engine for $4495, it seems to good to be true. Anyone that has delt with them some input would be greatly apperciated!!!
