Iowa 21 Penn St. 10

I know, I'm a hopeless Iowa Hawkeye fan...

What can I say, Iowa born and raised.

The hawks just dropped the lions 21-10!!!! Penn St. WAS ranked 5th in the country! Just watched the game and it was awesome!!!

Hopefully they drop more than USC did after their loss last week.

You got to be feeling good too Josh. First Washington drops USC last week and I heard Oregon WASTED Cal today!

No I actually root for my conference by and large. I wish the Trojans would have won last week because I hate UW! I like the fact that Oregon dismantled Cal. Now if my Cougs can pull their head out and at least hang with the Trojans tonight and if the Dawgs lose I will be real happy.

Damn you and your Haweyes Kurt! lol

You guys were the better team that night though, no doubt about it. Penn State just needs to get their O-line squared away, they couldn't stop the speed rush from the outside for nothing. They have IMO one of the top 5 running backs in the country and he can't get going cause of the lack of blocking.

We also need to get all three of our linebackers healthy and playing together at the same time! Pretty big hit to be missing 1 or 2 All American linebackers!

True enough. Iowas got the same kind of team they've had for years... Very solid defense and special teams... Mediocre offense that's hit or miss. The O line is very well coached but we get a lot of 2nd tier players in the skill positions. Either way it was nice to win a game like that on the road against a top 5 team. Hopefully it will give some momentum and confidence to the team going in to the rest of the big ten season. That was only the first conference game...
