The Doubletree that they have ads for on the racing site is pretty nice. What's good about it is that it has everything you need. Cafe, restaurant, and especially bar. It's just off the freeway too. There are some others too.

I had some friends that stayed at La Quienta, and they did not like it. I can't recommend it.

I've been around Bakersfield all my life and I'm not sure where that is. I guess I shouldn't drive with blinders on.

It's at 3400 Chester Lane, looks like right in the middle of town. I've heard that it's about 30 miles from Famoso.

Count me in for this event. I am only few hours away in Bay Area. Any plans to meet up somewhere before hand or after for night of drinking and BS.?

There are a few of us staying in the pits with RV's and some tenting it. So I can tell you that there will be a pit party saturday night for sure.

And I did not know that San Jose was 20 minutes from Bakersfield. You must fly low and fast.

The Rodway and the Double Tree are both booked solid according to Dave Dunbar. This is going to be a huge event.
