Houston - HAPS August 12th Event at Lake O

HAPS August 12th event will be a family day at Mark Weber’s parents (Joyce and Calvin Oberhoff) home.

At Joyce and Calvin home is a private one-acre pond for swimming and fishing. There is a lot of shade under the trees and always a breeze blowing. The Pond house is air-conditioned. The pond has a sand beach area and a dock area. HAPS will have the grill going.

So, load up your family, bring your fishing poles, pack your coolers and toss some lawn chairs in your truck and let’s eat, swim and talk/play trucks.

When:

Saturday August 12th
12 noon till Sunday (I’m serious about “till Sunday”), there are a number of guys bringing travel trailers and spending the weekend.

2806 North Street. Needville, TX 77461

Directions: Highway 59 South to Rosenberg. Take the Highway 36 exit and turn left at the light and head South on Highway 36. Go about 10 miles to the City of Needville. At the first stop light in Needville on Highway 36, turn right onto School Street (FM 1236) and go one block and take the first right onto Charity Street. Go to the stop sign, and turn right onto Richmond Street. Go approx a 1/4 mile and you will see a brown & white 3 car barn on the left. The pond will be visible behind this barn. Turn left at the first driveway past the big drive for the barn and you will see the pond and pond house behind the barn.

All y'all around the H-Town area who can make it, this sounds like a REALLY fun event. I'd go but it's my wife's family reunion this weekend, so I'll be out of town. If you're like me and can't make this one, lets plan on getting together at the next event they have and say hi. Tony, Bobby, Dave, I'm sure guys would be up for it, so lets see what we can do!

When is the next event y'all are holding? I'd really like to get some of the Powerstroke.org folks together to come by and meet everyone.

Looks like Oct. 14-15. HAPS is going to run the DHRA Truck Show again this year at Baytown. Then in November, SEMA in Vegas and Thanksgiving weekend is the Auto show at Reliant center.
