I've tried the last 2 days. It's just to stinkin muddy. I only have one job going right now thanks to this economy so

Been thinking about a career change but I would have to sell everything I have that I love and would start at the bottom of the totem pole, so what do I do?




But my wife and I have been thinking abut moving to Ada, so it would be closer for G2G's (86mi instead of 158mi, thats almost half!!)

What exactly do you do? Dirt work obviously but how big an operation you got?
Lots of money just went out in highway projects last month...over a billion dollars as a matter of fact...good time to get a dump truck and sub out to a dirt contractor.

sounds like fun, are you leaning more towards Saturday or Sunday

I do residential concrete construction. I only have one regular employee and I hire guys by the day to help with the bigger pours. A few months ago I thought about buying a ten-wheeler that I could sub out and would be able to get my fill material dirt cheap (pun intended). But I know several guys in the trucking business that haven't worked in weeks, so I'm glad I didn't buy one.
