Okiefromwatonga's Deployment - Care package for the Holidays

Hey everyone,

Just got John's mailing address. He just arrived in Kuwait as you know from the other thread. He should be there a little bit for the time zone adjustment, briefings & deployment preparation. But since it can take a few weeks to receive packages I figured I would start a thread to get a care package together for a deployed Sooner Stroker serving his country.

It can take a week or two for pakages to arrive and since the weather is cooling down over here and there it would be ok to send holiday cookies & such.

ANyone have any ideas, thoughts about some items to send?

I was thinking about some diesel magazines, Holiday cookies, toiletries, etc....

hahaha Jerky is good but not to much, theres not a big shortage of beef jerky at the exchange i promise. Magazines are definitely awsome! especially those large Parts catalogs that have everything you could ever buy a vehicle. Some good hotsauce would also be a plus!

Sign me up Rich........I'll be glad to pick up some things to send out to him. I'll also be sending some to my son who will be deployed next month. I know Charles always liked the single energy drink powder. He says they always have plenty of bottled water to mix it in. Jolly ranchers and lemon heads were always popular with him.
I know you are eagerly waiting the return of your wife. Not much longer.......
