No, there's a HUGE difference. The pre94 trucks had VE pumps. They suck.

Making the 6.4 pull the 2.8 class would mean they wouldn't have a chance.

They would fare pretty well in the 2.6 class.....

I know it takes more than just raw power to perform good and win, but the majority of the most competitive 2.6 trucks in the midwest here are around 700hp. I know mine will be well over 700 this year and it was just under 700 last year. There is just to big a difference in the classes from winning the work stock class to even placing in the 2.6 class thats all I'm saying.

...besides the injection pump

94-98.5 would be the way to go, it has the P-pump

Yeah I agree..They honestly would not have a chance in the 2.8 class. Those trucks have a lot of mods and money in them.

As far as the 2.6 I think that would be fine and they could be pretty competitive in that class.

I don't see why everyone is complaining...you are saying that Ford just came out with a truck that can compete and everyone is "crying" about it. Well it took Ford putting 2 turbos on a truck to come out with something to compete with Cummins/Duramax who are doing it with one turbo..Imagine if the Cummins or Duramax came stock with twins...Don't get me wrong I like Ford trucks...but honestly guys in reality that is not fair, just my .02.

motors

I just got two motors 12v and a 24v.I plain on building both or put the 24v head on the 12v block so I'll have the P-pump.I want to put it in a F-150 step side or a 1970 Ranch-o.tub the back and slam it to the ground.
but if you need a 12v core motor call me I got a line to them

haha i always laugh at the stock class.....i've trucks go out there and hit 20-25mph in the stock class....no way is a stock truck gonna billow smoke 50ft in the air so thick it blocks sun and go that fast....my girlfriends cuzzin pulled a duramax for a long time in the work stock...and then some other bigger classes and won in the bigger classes...i was like how do they even let you pull in any stock class......
